“Openness” is a comprehensive sensory experience derived from visual extension, light flow, and spatial continuity. In this project, the designer didn’t rely on a single element but employed a combination of techniques to maximize the sense of space.

Strategy 1: Establishing a Visual Focus – The “Anchoring” and “Extension” of Silver Fox Marble

The first step in the design was to define the main living room wall, the TV wall, as the visual soul of the entire public area. The choice of Silver Fox Marble was a stroke of genius.

• White Base for Expansion: The pure white base of Silver Fox Marble acts as an excellent light reflector, effectively enhancing the overall brightness of the living room. Compared to darker stones, it creates a light and airy visual impression.
• Flowing Veins to Guide the Eye: Its gray, ink-wash-like flowing veins not only add artistic flair but, more importantly, break the rigidity of the wall. These irregular diagonal lines create dynamic visual guidance, naturally drawing the eye to move and extend.
